  Excerpt from the Crittenden County Press - June 19, 1953 Clifton E. Lowry received his Doctor of Medicine Degree from the University of Louisville School of Medicine. Dr. Lowry attended Marion and Shady Grove High Schools and received his B.S. degree from Western State Teachers College. During World War II, he served in the U.S. Navy for six years. Dr. Lowry and family will leave shortly for Portsmouth, Virginia where he will intern in a U.S. Naval Hospital. He is married to the former Miss Olga Crider of this city.
