[Brøderbund WFT Vol. 5, Ed. 1, Tree #0082, Date of Import: 31 Dec 1998] Thomas Travers of Nateby and Tulketh Castle married Eleanor Ashton, daughter of Gilbert de Ashton from a distinguished family of Ashton-under-Lyne in Lancashire County (now Lancaster Co.) which was founded by Orme Fitz Edward. Afterwards the family had the right to quarter the Ashton Arms. They were living at Tulketh Castle during the 37th year of Edward III (1363-64).
