  [Broderbund WFT Vol. 7, Ed. 1, Tree #0129, Date of Import: 25 Jul, 1998] Ignatius Atchison, Jr. was a farmer in Moore's Prairie Twsp. According to 1900 census, he had 4 single daughters living with him, as well as Wallis S. Estes, a 19 year old, who was a farm laborer. According to Bertha Webber, Ignatius (her grandfather) had been ill and was standing in front of an open fireplace. He fell backward into the open fire and was severly burned. His son (Gaston) was returning from the store when he heard moans and found his father burned. Ignatius lived 10 days before he died on Nov. 19 at 8:00 pm.
